Heat wave

Today was unbelievably hot, and we have no air conditioning. All day I worried about Evelyn overheating. I thought the pool would be good but our pediatrician advised against it unless we know the pool is well maintained (to prevent folliculitis). My next best idea was to make a cool bath for Evelyn. I must have made it too cold for her liking because she had the saddest wail, complete with lip tremble and all. It was hilarious. Instead she spent the day in the swing with our best fan blowing over her. She seems warm but not upset. I hope this heat wave passes soon.
