Anatomy Scan Done!

We just finished our halfway mark at twenty weeks!  As part of this twenty week milestone, we also had our anatomy scan.  Now while our technician was not as nice as our last ultra sound technician, she definitely was much nicer than when we had our first tech at UCSD.  She took all the measurements and we got to see baby pirate again.  I think the most noticeable things for me this time compared to the last was how clear I could see things like the hand and feet from certain angles, and the spine!  It was so nuts to see the outline of the spine.  The four channels of the heart was neat as well as the brain activity, but for me, those were harder to distinguish than obvious things like the spine.

One neat thing that we got to see that not everyone gets to see is bp drinking the amniotic fluid.  To be honest, I couldn't even tell that's what was happening.  Kameran had to mention it and explain it to me afterwards.  Bp also did some cute hand waiving thing right as the tech stopped the ultra sound.

So typically anatomy scans let you know if it's a boy or a girl.  The tech knows the sex, but we do not.  Kameran thinks bp is a girl, but I guess we'll have to wait another twenty weeks to truly find out.  Dr. Nelson called later that evening to let us know that baby's marks are all normal.  Yay!
